A new lacrosse shop has opened up in Memphis, Tennessee, the only one of its kind in the area. Lacrosse is a newer sport in southern states, and a new lacrosse store is representative of increasing popularity within the past decade. Battleground Lacrosse has become the go to speciality shop in Tennessee for those players that love the smell and feel of new lacrosse equipment.
Being the only lacrosse store in the area- ever since Stickhead Lacrosse has closed, Battleground is set to become a highly trafficked destination for Tennesse Lacrosse players. Players from such schools as Collierville High School, Memphis University, Houston, White Station High School, Rhodes College and various youth programs are sure to frequent Battleground Lacrosse.
Interestingly enough, the owner, Damon Waxler, knew very little about Lacrosse. It wasn't until his son, Dylan, a lacrosse player at Christian Brothers High School influenced his father to pursue opening up a new lacrosse store for the Tennessee area. Damon and his wife, Dawn, opened up Battleground Lacrosse, just acrosse the square from Dixie Pickers on November 1st.
